In the Bible, specifically the Old Testament, in order to be forgiven of your sins, you would have to sacrifice a perfect animal. This dates back to Egyptian and even Greek mythology times where people would sacrifice animals and even humans to the "God/s" they worshiped. This act causes your entire response to reality to shift to a belief that you are unbreakable, because if you could kill a living being in order to praise a "God," then you already committed an act of valor for your own personal gain. Now, valor doesn’t mean you do the good or right thing; it simply means you did what needed to be done in order to accomplish a desired effect. Now, if you are mixing visualization along with chanting specific words or playing the narrative that this is your destiny, then you’ve awakened the beast within. The truth is everyone has an evil side, but evil and wrong are two completely different things. |
